The CUNY Black Male Initiative (BMI) was implemented within all CUNY schools with the goal to increase, encourage, and support the inclusion and educational success of under-represented groups in higher education, in particular black and latino males. All programs and activities of the Black Male Initiative are open to all academically eligible students, faculty, and staff, without regard to race, gender, or national origin.  

The Tenth Annual CUNY BMI Conference, Increasing Black & Latino Student Engagement and Success in Higher Education, will be held on Friday, October 16 at John Jay College of Criminal Justice/CUNY.
