Dear Colleagues,

 

With three concerts next week, the Alexander String Quartet brings us four of the string quartets by Franz Schubert and the same composer’s beloved string quintet  in Baruch’s Engelman Hall ("ideally intimate... perfect hall for chamber music” NYT, April 2006). The ASQ, Baruch’s ensemble-in-residence since 1986, is an internationally renowned quartet, widely admired for its interpretations of the quartet literature. Hearing them play is an extraordinary, free opportunity for Baruch students and members of the faculty.

String Quartet No. 13 in A minor, D. 804 “Rosamunde”

String Quartet No. 14 in D minor, D. 810 “Death and the Maiden”

This concert is part of Baruch's Silberman Concert Series.

It is free and open to the public, but tickets are necessary.
