Attention Artists!

We hope you will enter the Mishkin juried show, small works Baruch 2018.  The deadline for entry is this Friday, January 12, 2018. The show opens on February 15, 2018, 6-8 pm. Please see below for directions on how to enter.

Please note: Some people have been confused about the submission and payment process. There are two steps. The first is to submit your images and the second is to submit your donation. After you have submitted your images on the submission page make sure to go to the bottom of the page where there is the following message with a link for the donations page: After successfully submitting your information, don’t forget to continue on to the donation page to complete your entry. Click on the words “donation page.”

At the Sidney Mishkin Gallery, 135 East 22nd Street at Lexington, New York, NY 10010 from Feb 16-March 15 2018. Opening Reception for exhibition: Thursday, February 15, 2018, 6-8pm

Eligibility: Entries can be submitted by all artists on our website. Information and Digital photos should be submitted to: http://blogs.baruch.cuny.edu/smallworks/submission/

Entry donation: $35.00 per submitted work, paid on small works website. When you click on “submit” the donation information should come up.

Judges: Richard Timperio, director of the Sideshow Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and Elizabeth Avedon, an independent curator and contributor to L’Oeil de la Photographie.

Entry Specifications:

Maximum of 3 works can be submitted by each artist

Maximum size in any direction: 20” including frame

Paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, and wall relief sculpture (must hang on wall)

Must have wire on back and be ready to hang on the wall. Photos, drawings, and prints must be framed in simple wood or metal frames with Plexiglas or glass, and any mats should be white.

Digital entries must be received on website for judging by: Friday, JANUARY 12, 2018

Deliver selected work to Mishkin Gallery on Monday, January 22, 4:00 to 7:00 pm; Tuesday, January 23, 4:00 to 7:00 pm; and Wednesday, January 24, 2:00-7:00 pm.
135 East 22nd Street at Lexington. Selected art must be hand delivered to the Gallery for exhibition. No art sent by mail will be accepted.

Each work must be labeled clearly on the back with:  name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. title of work, date, medium, and size.

Pick up all work: Thursday, March 15, 2018, 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, March 19, 2018, 4:00-8:00 pm, and Tuesday, March 20, 2018, 4:00- 8:00 pm
(We do not have space to store art. Work cannot be left at the gallery after March 30, 2018.)

Conditions: While the Mishkin Gallery, Baruch College and the judges will take care to protect submitted work, Baruch College and the Mishkin Gallery will not insure art works or assume any liability for loss or damage. By submitting work to this exhibition, you agree to all of the above terms and conditions and you agree to hold the Mishkin Gallery, Baruch College, and the judges harmless for any such loss or damage.
