Greetings, I invite you to join us on Wednesday, November 30 to Thursday, December 1 for an online forum facilitated by the CUNY Campus Climate Working Group to discuss “Practices that Promote Dialogue & Deepen Understanding on Controversial Issues.” The extraordinary work of CUNY faculty, students and staff make our University a center for the vibrant exchange of ideas. Share your methods for bringing controversial issues to life in the classroom and throughout your college by encouraging deeper understanding and respect for difference. This discussion presents us with an opportunity to hear from those who who have created curricular and pedagogical strategies, student-led efforts, or co-curricular activities that prize freedom of inquiry and expression.
