Here’s what’s happening at the Center for Teaching and Learning This Month:

Fall 2018 Course Prep Boot camps
Come to the CTL and get ready for the fall semester. Bring your syllabus and questions! The CTL staff helps part-time and full-time faculty think through:

-Assignments

-Classroom management/policies

-Experimenting with technology

-Fostering classroom discussion

-Active learning techniques

-Low-cost/free course materials

-Creating interdisciplinary activities

Courses in the face-to-face, hybrid and on-line formats are welcome. Stop by for a few minutes or stay the whole time. The CTL office is located in the Newman Library building, Room 123 (within the Subotnick Financial Center on the first floor).

Wednesday, 8/8, from 11am-12:30pm
Thursday, 8/9, from 2-4pm

Monday, 8/13, from 2-4pm
Tuesday, 8/14 from 2-4pm

CTL Conversations: “Faculty Welcome Back Social”
Wednesday, 9/5 from 4-5pm, Location TBD

All faculty are welcome, whether you are new or returning, full or part-time. This is an informal time to bring questions, concerns, and ideas, and to meet your colleagues and the CTL staff. Coffee and cookies will be served.
