From:  Prof. Mindy Engle-Friedman, Chair, Baruch College Task Force on Sustainability

Dear Colleagues,

The PSC and 1,000 other labor, environmental, community, faith-based, grassroots, and NGO organizations will participate in the “People’s Climate March” on Sunday, September 21st at 11:30 (http://peoplesclimate.org/march/). The plan is to bring global climate change issues to the fore and to demonstrate our concerns to the delegates of the UN General Assembly who will attend the UN Climate Summit to be held September 16-23, 2014.

Baruch College students, faculty, and staff will gather for the march at 70th Street and Central Park West (on the east side of the street) at 10:30 AM, Sunday, September 21. The march will begin at 59th Street and Columbus Circle and will end at around 4:30 at 34th Street and 11th Avenue.

If you have Baruch clothing, please wear it proudly so that Baruch’s presence will be felt.

Here are the logistics for the march: http://peoplesclimate.org/logistics/

Looking forward to seeing you there,

Mindy Engle-Friedman

Chair, Baruch College Task Force on Sustainability
