The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America

Richard Rothstein, research associate at the Economic Policy Institute and a fellow at the Thurgood Marshall Institute of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, will discuss his book The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America on Wednesday, September 5, from noon to 2:30 pm, in the Newman Vertical Campus’s Simon Conference Room 14-220.
The Color of Law examines the history of government-sponsored residential racial segregation in the U.S., providing a national perspective to Mr. Rothstein’s recent report “The Making of Ferguson: Public Policies at the Root of Its Troubles.”
Along with Mr. Rothstein’s remarks, the event will feature a Q&A session as well as a book signing. Lunch will be served.
