Advanced Research Collaborative
Distinguished CUNY Fellowships
The Advanced Research Collaborative (ARC) at the Graduate Center (GC) is pleased to announce the
2016-2017 Distinguished CUNY Fellowship Program, which awards Visiting Fellowships to tenured faculty within CUNY who are conducting research in particular areas. For 2016-1017, those areas are:
Inequality * Immigration * Multilingualism
- Fellowships will be tenable for one or two semesters during the 2016-2017 academic year.
- Awardees will receive course buy-outs up to a maximum of 3 course releases per semester.
- Distinguished CUNY Fellowships carry NO TEACHING DUTIES.
All Fellows, who are expected to be resident at the GC for the period of the award, will be provided with a private office, computer, and access to all academic resources. They will participate in our intellectual and academic life, including making regular use of office space, attending Fellowship events, presenting to a seminar/and or public audience, sharing work in progress with doctoral students, and mentoring in a research praxis seminar and individual sessions.
The Distinguished CUNY Fellows for 2015-2016 are Profs. Timothy Amrhein (York), Marcella Benvicenni (Hostos), Charlotte Brooks (Baruch), Christina Tortora (CSI), Janet Johnson (Brooklyn), Amy Chazkel (Queens), Mary Gibson (John Jay), Patricia Brooks (CSI), Laurie Rubel (Brooklyn), and Medhi Bozorgmehr (City).

Awardees will be notified by January 31, 2016
