The Department of Journalism and the Writing Professions is pleased to make available a new site: Identifying Fake News (https://blogs.baruch.cuny.edu/fakenews/).

It includes a guide to self-checking the news, red flags to look for, and links to Fake News help at NPR, the Washington Post, politifact.com, fakecheck.org, and other resources. We hope this material will be useful to you and your students. Please feel free to distribute it widely.

The site was created by the journalism faculty, principally Lindsay Armstrong, with an assist from Vera Haller and Josh Mills. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact me directly.
