From:  Prof. Frank Heiland, MSPIA, and Chair, College Committee on the Undergraduate Honors Program

The College Committee on the Undergraduate Honors Program accepts applications from undergraduate students who want to write an Honors Thesis beginning in the fall semester. Please bring this information and the thesis guidelines (download here) to the attention of promising juniors. An info session for interested students will be held on Tuesday, February 21 at 12:45PM in 4125 VC (RSVP here).  The Honors Thesis is a two-semester research or creative project (six 6000-level credits total and earning departmental honors) completed under the supervision of a faculty mentor. (Students in the Natural Sciences may be given permission to undertake a three-semester 9-12 credit project.) Application requires a 3-5 page project description and approval by the student's faculty mentor and department chair. For the application form and a detailed description of the program and its requirements see the Thesis Guidelines.

Completed applications should be submitted to Prof. Frank Heiland, committee chair, by April 1, 2017.

Thank you,

Frank Heiland, PhD
