From: Diana Hamilton, Acting Director, Writing Center
Dear Members of the Faculty:
The Lexington Review publishes research, scholarship, and creative work by Baruch College undergraduate and graduate students. We welcome writing from any discipline, and are especially interested in student work that facilitates teaching and learning. In other words, it doesn't have to be perfect—it just needs to be something from which other students could learn. This term, we’re especially looking to share strong models of business writing.
If you'd like to help improve student writing in your classes, and you have one or two pieces that you think would help other students understand what you're looking for, send them to us! You can use them in your classroom, and we'll use them in the Writing Center to help other students understand the expectations of and approaches to college writing.
Please email your nominations to LexingtonReview@baruch.cuny.edu. You are encouraged, but certainly not required, to include a nominating note that describes the strengths of the piece, as well as the assignment that prompted the writing. Please include the student's name and email address, if available. Submissions are always welcome, and we'll work through them on a rolling basis.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.
With warmest wishes,
Acting Director of the Writing Center
