FORUM ON HIGHER EDUCATION INNOVATION

Thursday, OCTOBER 23, 2014   ∙   8:30 – 10:00 AM

135 E.22nd Street  ∙   3rd Floor   ∙  Room 301

Guest Speaker:  Andrew S. Rosen

Chairman, Kaplan Inc., and

Executive Vice President, Graham Holdings Company

Andrew S. Rosen is currently the Chairman of Kaplan, Inc., and also serves as Executive Vice President of Graham Holdings Company. Mr. Rosen’s book, Change.edu: Rebooting for the new talent economy, details the history of American higher education and describes how to restore its preeminence by focusing on the goals of learning outcomes, access, affordability, and accountability.

The book earned positive reviews in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Forbes, and Fortune.  Bill Gates called it "truly important” for the debate about improving higher education, and Joel Klein called it a “must-read book.”

Before joining Kaplan Inc., Andrew Rosen was an attorney at The Washington Post  and at Newsweek.   Mr. Rosen holds an A.B. degree from Duke University and a J.D. from Yale Law School.

A light Continental Breakfast will be served at 8:30 for “meet & greet.”  Mr. Rosen’s presentation begins at 9:00, followed by a Q&A discussion.
