From: Prof. Yochi Cohen-Charash, Chair, Committee on Committees
Dear Baruch College Faculty,
Last spring, we held our committee elections. However, for several committees we did not have enough nominations from this call and the floor, and for other committees, faculty have left Baruch or decided they do not want to serve, which has resulted in few committees being understaffed.
Therefore, we will hold elections to fill these few positions in the coming General faculty meeting, to be held tomorrow, October 25.
Following my previous email, we have more candidates than we need to all committees except for the committee on Financial Aid, for which we need four nominees.
If you wish to nominate or be nominated to serve on this committee during the forthcoming academic years (2018-2020), please email me by tomorrow (Thursday, October 25) at 10AM, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
The Committee on Committees suggests that before nominating a representative to serve on a specific committee, the nominator should seek the approval of the nominee.
The nominee or the self-nominated individual should consult Article VI of the Baruch College General Faculty Bylaws, which provides a detailed explanation of the responsibilities of an elected member to each of the faculty committees.
