***UPDATE***  MAY 8, 2018

Dear Colleagues,

The Jewish holiday Shavuos begins on Saturday evening, May 19 and ends on Monday evening, May 21. Some final exams are scheduled for Sunday, May 20 (i.e., within that holiday period). This email is for instructors with exams scheduled for that day and their students.

Students with religious conflicts (see exceptions, below) who have exams scheduled for May 20 should sign up for “conflict” exams (per the memo of April 25).

The deadline for making arrangements for conflicts has been extended to Friday, May 11. However, owing to impending renovations in the Center for Academic Advisement, unless students visit the Center today (Tuesday, May 8), they will  have to request conflict exams online. Here is the link: http://bit.ly/BaruchSP18ConflictA. The application is now open and will be accessible until 4PM on Friday, May 11, 2018.

Once the Center for Testing and Evaluation receives and processes the request, they will send the faculty member instructions on how to submit an examination packet with the cover form that the faculty member needs to complete. Faculty members with students who have conflicts should be aware that they must submit a completed examination package to that office by 3PM on May 17, 2018.

Exceptions to the “conflict” policy outlined above have been arranged onlyfor students in the sections of ACC 2101, ACC 2203, ECO 1001, and ECO 1002 that meet on May 20.

Questions about conflicts? Please contact Gary.Hotko@baruch.cuny.edu in the Office of Testing and Evaluation.

We apologize for any confusions that have resulted from this late notice.

2.  “Conflict” Exams

Students with three examinations on one day:

Students with three day examinations on the same day will have the choice of taking the third examination on Tuesday, May 22 at 1:00pm in NVC 5-150 or Thursday, May 24 at 8:15pm in NVC 5-150.

Students with conflicts (two examinations scheduled at the same time):

Examinations for day students with time conflicts (two exams at the same time) will be given in NVC 5-150 on Tuesday, May 22 at 1:00pm. Conflict examinations for evening students will be given in NVC 5-150 on Thursday, May 24 at 8:15pm.
