Dear Baruch College Faculty,
Last spring, we held our committee elections. However, for several committees we did not have enough nominations from this call and the floor, and for other committees, faculty have left Baruch or decided they do not want to serve, which has resulted in a few committees being understaffed.
Therefore, we will hold elections to fill these few positions in the coming General faculty meeting, to be held on October 25.
These are the committees to which we seek nominations:
- The Faculty-Student Disciplinary Committee – we need one additional member
- The committee on Financial Aid – we need three additional members
- The Committee on the Library – we need one additional member
- The Committee on Prizes, Scholarships, and Awards - we need one additional member
If you wish to nominate or be nominated to serve on one of these committees during the forthcoming academic years (2018-2020), please let us know by Friday, October 19, 2018, by emailing email@example.com
The Committee on Committees suggests that before nominating a representative to serve on a specific committee, the nominator should seek the approval of the nominee.
The nominee or the self-nominated individual should consult the Baruch College General Faculty Bylaws. Article VI provides a detailed explanation of the responsibilities of an elected member to each of the faculty committees.
