Dear Fall 2018 Faculty,

Grading via Faculty Self-Service will be available for the fall 2018 term from Thursday, December 13, 2018 (12:01am) through Friday, December 28, 2018 (11:59pm).

Baruch’s on-line grading system via CUNYfirst allows you to submit final grades from on or off-campus. Once you have entered, reviewed, and saved your grade roster, you must then click on submit grades to the Registrar which will prompt the “POST” button; you must click on “POST” in order for your final grades to be officially submitted.  Once you have posted your grades, the students will be able to view them instantaneously via CUNYfirst Student Self-Service.

You are able to assign the grade of WU to undergraduate students on the final grade roster provided they did not take the final examination.

As you are aware, CUNY has enacted a new grading deadline policy. The policy states that grades be submitted no later than three (3) business days after the last day of the final examination period. This term, that means Friday, December 28, 2018 (11:59pm). Starting December 29, grades need to be submitted via our usual post-deadline submission policy. It entails: printing the CUNYfirst version of your roster; manually recording the grades; signing the roster; having your Dean or a Dean’s designee sign the roster; and either bringing the roster to the Registrar’s Office (H-850) or scanning and emailing it from your Baruch email address to GradeRosters@Baruch.cuny.edu.  

•             The grades are required in order to confer Fall 2018 degrees.

•             Students on academic probation cannot register for the Winter or Spring 2019 terms until their Fall 2018 grades have been reviewed.

•             Some of your courses are pre-requisites for Winter and Spring 2019 courses.

•             Rosters not submitted delay the distribution of financial aid packages.

•             Some students depend on their companies’ tuition re-imbursement plans to meet their tuition payment obligations to the college.
