Student Emergency Fund
The Office of the Dean of Students manages a general student emergency fund and an immigrant/undocumented student emergency fund for students experiencing a financial emergency. Support is provided in the form of a one-time grant. These grants are considered a last resort after students have explored all viable options: they are not provided in place of students having a job or taking out loans, and cannot be used to cover tuition. Students are expected to develop a long term financial plan in order to receive a grant. Grants can cover replacement of items lost in a fire, textbooks, rent, and food. For a full list of what the grant covers as well as to access the application, visit our website at: https://www.baruch.cuny.edu/studentaffairs/emergencyfund.htm
