& the PEN World Voices Festival

Present:

 Resonances: Writers on the Classics

Thursday, April 19, 6:00 pm

Information and Technology building (Library building), Room 750

From: Professor Esther Allen, Department of Modern Languages and Comparative Literature

For eleven years, the PEN World Voices Festival of International Literature has teamed up with Baruch's Great Works and Sidney Harman Writer-in-Residence programs, inviting distinguished contemporary writers from across the globe to choose a classic work, speak about its influence, and read a passage from the classic or from their own writing.

The speakers for 2018 are Rowan Ricardo Phillips, Alicia Kopf, Xiaolu Guo, and Aminatta Forna; the program will be moderated by Professor Bridgett Davis, director of the Harman Writer-in-Residence program. Please see the attached flier for more detailed information.

You and your students are warmly invited to attend.
