Fighting for Archives: Endangered Archives and Preserving the History of Afro-Colombian Martial Arts
Prof. T.J. Desch-Obi, an ethnographer and faculty member of the Department of History at Baruch College, will describe his research of Afro-Colombian martial arts called Grima and his grant from the British Library Endangered Archives Program to preserve historical sources from Afro-Colombians dating back to the time of slavery.
