Chat with the Ombuds

April 11, 2020

From: The Baruch College Ombuds

The Baruch College Ombuds is offering opportunities to “Chat with the Ombuds” about unresolved conflicts among members of our community in a safe, confidential space. Members of our College community can reach out to the Ombuds, Mindy Engle-Friedman or the Assistant to the Ombuds, Glenda Hydler to arrange private Zoom sessions.

What is an Ombuds? The focus of the Ombuds’s work is to listen to and help resolve conflicts. The Baruch College Ombudspersons provide a confidential, neutral, and independent resource for faculty, staff, and students within the Baruch College community, and an opportunity to voice concerns and address conflicts between members of the College.

The Ombuds does not create or change Baruch College policy, does not share information concerning any conflict unless permission is given by the person who brings the concern, and does not maintain permanent records of individual cases.

“Chat with the Ombuds” and arrange a Zoom conversation by contacting:

Professor Mindy Engle-Friedman – Ombuds
mindy.engle-friedman@baruch.cuny.edu

Glenda Hydler – Assistant to the Ombuds
