The Baruch College Faculty Handbook
Last updated on 12/1/2016
Baruch College is committed to making individuals with disabilities full participants in its programs, services, and activities through compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, and the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008. It is the policy of Baruch College that no otherwise qualified individual with a disability shall be denied access to or participation in any program, service, or activity offered by the university.
Students with disabilities receive accommodations which are determined on a case-by-case basis. In many instances Student Disability Services may be able to help faculty provide reasonable ADA accommodations for exams.
See the Provost’s memo on Disabilities for more information and for an announcement that should be read to classes during the first week of the semester. The announcement may be copied and pasted into syllabi as well.
Student Disability Services is a division of Student Affairs. For further information, please go to the website , or contact the Director for Disability Services, Patricia Clarke Fleming, LMHC, at 646/312-4590, VC2-271.
