Adjunct Community Space in Brightspace
Adjunct faculty have been added to the Adjunct Community Space in Brightspace. The Adjunct Community Space is updated regularly to provide resources and announce events, trainings, and other critical information for adjuncts. If you are an adjunct and you do not see the Adjunct Community Space in your list of Brightspace courses, please contact adjunctservices@baruch.cuny.edu and we will get you added as soon as possible.
Faculty Mentoring Network: Mentor and Mentee applications are open for AY 25-26
The Baruch Faculty Mentoring Network supports faculty across the college with opt-in, needs-based mentoring at all career stages. Faculty can use this online portal to view our areas of support and identify a preferred mentor, and all faculty can use the site to find out about upcoming Mentoring Network events, workshops, faculty interest groups (FIGs), peer mentoring/networking opportunities, and other resources designed to support faculty. If you would like to sign up to be a mentor or a mentee next year, applications are now available through the Mentoring Network’s SharePoint site. Career-Focused Pedagogy Training & Community Brightspace Site
Starr’s Career-Focused Pedagogy Training & Community Site aims to better equip undergraduate faculty from all disciplines, teaching modalities, and class sizes, in assisting students become career ready. Modules, all of which are asynchronous, include: The Value of Career-Focused Pedagogy, Curating & Disseminating Resources (e.g., access to student-focused resources), Actively Incorporating Career Readiness into the Curriculum (e.g., creating a course skills objective, access to a repository of teaching tools), and Leveraging Campus Stakeholders.
