Annual CUNY Blackboard Maintenance

December 5, 2019

From:  Kevin Wolff, Instructional Designer, Baruch Computing and Technology Center (BCTC)

Dear Baruch Faculty,

As many of you are aware, CUNY CIS upgrades Blackboard once a year, at the end of December.  The fall 2019 Blackboard upgrade is scheduled to take less than two days:  it will begin on Saturday, December 14 at 12:00 am and is expected to be completed by the close of business on Monday, December 30.  Blackboard will be taken offline and there will be no access to the environment during the upgrade. However, this downtime should not interfere with grading. Grade rosters in CUNYfirst are scheduled to open on Friday, December 20 (the last day of exams) and close on Friday, December 27, before the upgrade begins.

Questions? Please feel free to contact the Technology Help Desk with questions, concerns, or thoughts on the upgrade.
