At-Risk Mental Health Training for Faculty and Staff extended until 12/31/22

January 14, 2022

From: Teresa Hurst, Director, Baruch College Counseling Center

Great news! CUNY Central was able to renew our contract with Kognito, so the Kognito At-Risk Mental Health Training for Faculty and Staff will be available until at least 12/31/22.

This virtual role-play training takes around 30-45 minutes to complete and will help you:

  • Increase knowledge and awareness about student mental health and suicide;
  • Learn to identify warning signs of psychological distress, including verbal and non-verbal;
  • Practice conversations with virtual students to discuss concerns, build resilience, and increase connectedness; and
  • Learn how to assess the need for referral, motivate the student to seek help, and connect to services.

To access this training:

  • Visit kognito.com/
  • Log in or create a new account
  • Use enrollment key: baruchcaruf
  • Launch At-Risk Mental Health for Faculty or Staff

I hope you are able to do the training!

Sincerely,
Teresa
