Call for Nominations for secretary and committees of the General Faculty

Dear Baruch College Faculty,

Nominations for General Faculty Committees (2022-24) and the Secretary of the General Faculty (2022-25) are now open. The full list of vacancies is listed below.

If you wish to self-nominate or nominate someone, please complete this form [link] or e-mail Kimmy Szeto <kimmy.szeto@baruch.cuny.edu>. Please submit nominations by Friday, March 11, 2022. Additional nominees will be taken from the floor and final slate will be approved at the upcoming General Faculty Meeting on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Voting will take place online early April.

All full-time faculty members with faculty rank or faculty status are eligible. In addition, the Committee on Ceremonial Occasions and the Committee on Social Affairs are open to all Baruch instructional and non-instructional staff. There are no limits on the number of committees or term limits, except for a maximum of four consecutive years on the Faculty-Student Disciplinary Committee (CUNY Bylaws Section 15.4m).

We suggest that the nominator first seek the approval of the nominee. Each nominee will be contacted to confirm their eligibility and willingness to run. Nominees are encouraged to review the committee’s charge in Article VI of the Baruch College General Faculty Bylaws.
