The Center for Teaching and Learning is pleased to introduce Week 3 of our updated Teaching Online Course Prep Guide, which breaks down how to develop an online course over 4 weeks. Week 3 focuses on the questions of student engagement, participation, and attendance.

Workshops this week include:

 Zoom Boot Camp I: Account Creation, Meeting Creation, Starting a Meeting

Zoom Boot Camp II: Online Class Management Essentials (Settings, security, sharing your screen, recording, attendance, participant management)

Zoom Boot Camp III: Student Engagement Tools for Improving Online Class Participation (Polling, Breakout Rooms, Office Hours, Student Presentations)

Wednesday, August 5 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 am

How to Caption Videos Using MovieCaptioner

(Re)design One “Unit” Workshop Series: Session III

Please click on this link to learn how to register. All part-time and full-time faculty are welcome to participate, even if they are not confirmed to teach in the fall. Staff are welcome to attend our workshops too.

Faculty are welcomed and encouraged to schedule a one-on-one consult to meet with us to discuss their courses and receive feedback.
