CTL Updates – Week of May 18
May 19, 2020
From: Allison Lehr Samuels, Director, Baruch Center for Teaching and Learning
As we wrap up this semester, we want to show and share our appreciation to the many colleagues in our community who have offered their support and expertise to their peers as we’ve made this transition. We know that we’ve witnessed a fraction of the many generous collegial acts that have rippled through our departments and networks. We’d like to make more visible what we’ve been doing as a community to support each other, to teach one another, and to overall make the best out of a challenging semester.
In the coming weeks, we will share this appreciation. If you’d like to contribute your appreciation for a colleague, please fill out this “Thank you!” form before noon on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
Looking to the summer and fall, the CTL is pleased to share our Week 2 Online Course Prep Guide. To accompany this guide you may:
- Set up a one-on-one appointment with CTL consultants
- Attend synchronous weekly workshops
- Participate in a Q&A forum where you can post questions, suggestions or teaching tips
- Watch previously recorded workshops
Please note, that all part-time and full-time faculty are welcome to participate in CTL workshops and events, even if you are not scheduled to teach in the summer and are unsure about the fall.
