April 27, 2021
From: Myung-Soo Lee, Interim Provost and Senior Vice President
Dear Colleagues,
I write to encourage you to make every effort to attend an exciting NIH grant opportunity webinar.
Baruch’s Sponsored Programs and Research (SPAR) office has asked John Tsapogas, Director of the Research Foundation’s (RF) Office of Award Pre-Proposal Support (APPS) and former National Science Foundation Program Officer to host a webinar on Friday, May 7, 2021 to discuss the NIH SuRE Program. Pablo Peixoto, Assistant Professor, of Baruch’s Natural Sciences Department and an NIH SCORE recipient (SCORE was the previous iteration of SuRE) will share his experiences with the application process and the program.
The SuRE program will support investigator-initiated research in the biomedical, clinical, behavioral, and social sciences that falls in the mission areas of NIH Institutes, Centers, and Offices. Research activities funded by the SuRE program require participation by students.
