Tomorrow @ Baruch College…

Friday, August 30

11:00 AM-12:00 PM, Mishkin Gallery, 135 E. 22nd Street

“Disidencia,” A Walkthough, Minerva Cuevas

Join the Mishkin Gallery for a walkthrough tour of “Disidencia”, led by exhibiting artist Minerva Cuevas. Comprising eight video installations and projections, the exhibition brings together a range of visual strategies that Cuevas has deployed to engage with such topics as the decay of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, corporate America’s insatiable brand of globalization, and a video cartography of protests and resistance throughout her home city. For more information click here.

No RSVP necessary.

Coming next week…

Thursday, September 5

12:30 -2:30 PM, Newman Vertical Campus, 14-270

Adjunct Faculty Orientation, Day Session

The Office of the Provost and the Baruch PSC Chapter invite members of Baruch adjunct faculty to participate in an orientation on the theme of student services and union rights and benefits. This will be a relatively informal discussion intended to give members of the adjunct faculty a sense of the kinds of issues that arise and the resources available. Participating members of the adjunct faculty will be paid at the NTA (60%) rate for attendance at one of the two orientation sessions. Owing to the generosity of the PSC chapter, lunch will be served starting at 12:15 PM.  This event is open to adjunct faculty only.

RSVP by September 3 to vanessa.cano@baruch.cuny.edu. Space is limited.

Looking forward…
