Fall 2026 Regular Session Verification of Enrollment: September 4 to September 17

September 3, 2026

Dear Fall 2026 Faculty:

The Verification of Enrollment (VOE) rosters will be available in your CUNYfirst Faculty Center during the period noted below.

Fall 2026 Verification of Enrollment (VOE) Deadlines

VOE rosters available VOE rosters due
Fall Regular Session September 4 September 17

NOTE: Faculty teaching in the seven-week sessions should refer to the memo provided specifically for those sessions, as the VOE dates differ than the VOE schedule for the regular 15-week Fall semester.

Key Reminders:

  • VOE rosters cannot be reopened after the deadline—no exceptions.
  • Confirm whether each student is actively participating (e.g., attending class or submitting assignments).
  • The default selection is “Yes.” If a student has never participated and there is no documentation, select “No.”
    • Students marked “No” will receive a WN grade, be withdrawn, and lose access to Brightspace.
    • If marked incorrectly, a WN can only be reversed using the online Grade Change/WN Reversal process in CUNYfirst—only if the student participated before the deadline.

Why it matters:
Certifying VOE is a mandatory CUNY requirement and critical for federal compliance and financial aid eligibility. If a roster is not certified, students may lose aid and will be directed to contact their instructor.

Additional Reminders:

  • Students not on your official roster must not attend class. Direct them to email RegistrationIssues@baruch.cuny.edu.
  • If you haven’t claimed your CUNYfirst account, do so here: https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu
  • Quick Guide: Verification of Attendance Roster

For help, contact your department assistant or email GradeRosters@baruch.cuny.edu.
