From: Angie Kamath, CUNY University Dean, Continuing Education and Workforce
The CUNY Office of Continuing Education and Workforce Programs is pleased to release the second round of funding for course innovation grants and faculty professional development under our Career Success Initiative. This round of funding is targeted to any discipline with the intention of:
- Offering resources to faculty to revise or develop courses that will help students gain applied learning and/or
- Competencies that will connect classroom learning with career exploration.
In addition to the course innovation grant, based on feedback from faculty and the Centers for Teaching and Learning directors, we included an opportunity to create a faculty professional development training for career success work. The deadline to submit proposals is 9/27/2019 and more information about guidelines for applying and selection criteria is in the attached PDF.
In year one, we funded 16 projects with an estimated 900 students who are expected to take the courses by next semester. We will also be supporting a learning community with this second round to help share and elevate campus practices that are promising for course development and revision.
