I am writing to report the passing of Michael (Moishe) Gartenberg. Moishe was appointed as a Lecturer in the fall 1970 semester. Upon receiving his Ph.D. he was promoted to assistant professor; shortly after receiving tenure he was promoted to associate professor. He retired a little over six years ago, February 8, 2013. The funeral was at noon yesterday, September 16, 2019, with interment in Israel.
