Please remember to submit your progress report survey by April 10

March 23, 2026

Dear Colleagues,

Each term, we ask all members of the faculty to identify students who are experiencing academic difficulties (such as earning a grade lower than C or missing assignments) through progress reports.

The progress report survey (available on Navigate360) lists only students in courses that are in their first year at Baruch (freshmen and transfers), and it is designed to proactively contact students who may be disengaged, to commend students who are on track, and to connect students to advisors, tutors, and counselors as early as possible.

The survey was distributed on March 2nd. Please respond by April 10th. This work is important: students who seek help from campus resources are more likely to complete their courses successfully and remain enrolled at Baruch.

If you have no students at risk, please click on “Fill Out Progress Reports”, scroll to the bottom and select “Submit unmarked students as not At-Risk (I’m all done)”.

To submit a progress report for students not on the survey, use the “Progress Reports” link located near your course listing.

If you do not see a progress report request upon logging into Navigate, this means you have no freshmen or transfers in their first year at Baruch enrolled in your course. You may still submit progress reports for students enrolled in your course using the “Progress Report” link.

Faculty can flag students for the following recommendations and concerns:

  • Attendance concern
  • Low Exam/Quiz Grades
  • Missing assignments
  • Personal concern
  • Recommend SACC tutoring
  • Recommend Tools for Clear Speech (oral communication support for non-native speakers of English)
  • Recommend Writing Center tutoring
  • Speak with an Academic Advisor
  • Student Performing Well (positive)

For all academic alerts, the student will receive an immediate email notifying them of the details (course, professor, alert reason) and encouraging them to communicate with their professor before seeking additional help from the recommended office. For personal concerns, an advisor will identify the next steps before contacting the student.

Thank you for supporting this effort.

Thank you,

Serra Hilaire
