Spring 2025 Verification of Enrollment: February 1 to February 14

February 3, 2025

Dear Spring 2025 Faculty:

[IMPORTANT: Faculty teaching in seven-week sessions receive separate instructions directly, as VOE submission dates differ than regular session.]

The verification of enrollment period for Spring 2025 regular session courses begins on Saturday, February 1 (12:01am) and continues through Friday, February 14 (11:59pm).  Please note that, unlike past terms, we will no longer be able to re-open the verification of enrollment rosters after the deadline.

During the verification of enrollment process you are required to verify that all students listed on the roster are actively participating in your class. The roster contains officially enrolled students for the course and the default value for the enrollment radio button is “Yes”. For any student, who has never attended a class and there is no documented evidence of the student’s participation in the course (such as a completed assignment), select the “No” radio button. A student marked as “No” (never participated) will be withdrawn from your course, assigned a WN grade after the VOE period, and will no longer have access to Brightspace. Once a WN grade is assigned, the WN can only be reversed if the student was incorrectly marked as never attended / participating and had been participating BEFORE the verification of enrollment deadline.

Verification of enrollment is a mandatory CUNY requirement. It is vital that rosters be certified for each one of the course offerings as it affects compliance with federal regulations and students receiving financial aid. If rosters are not certified, students may lose their financial aid awards. If a roster is not certified, students will be directed to speak with the instructor.

It is against CUNY and Baruch policy for students to attend a course that they are not officially enrolled in. Students attending your course who do not appear on your roster, should be asked to email RegistrationIssues@Baruch.cuny.edu.

You must claim your CUNYfirst account in order to submit your verification of enrollment roster, please click on the following link to claim your account, if you have not already done so:

  • Print the Claim Your Account instructions (PDF)

If you need assistance with the verification of enrollment roster process, please contact your department assistant or email GradeRosters@baruch.cuny.edu.

Thank you.

All the best,

Ken
