Strategic Partnership Initiative – Survey

Dear Faculty:
President David Wu established the Strategic Partnership Initiative (SPI), to produce a comprehensive audit of the College’s engagement of external entities through campus recruiting, classroom participation, alumni programming, philanthropy, etc. This has included a review of the 100 top alumni employers and the relationships maintained with recruiters and alumni at those employers across the four career offices, Advancement, Alumni Relations, CAPS, and several academic centers.
Now, we would like to assess current academic engagements with external entities (companies, organizations, alumni, and other individuals) within the classroom, specifically for projects, such as capstone, thesis, or other final projects which contribute to credit-bearing coursework. We would also like to assess how many faculty engage external speakers as part of your curriculum as well. The data collected in this short survey will also help us determine how we can support academic programs as we develop new external partnerships.
We appreciate your taking the time to complete the survey: https://baruch.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_e8V00dBg3AhOjRA and encourage you to share it with colleagues as well. You are welcome you to reach out to Janet or Fred to discuss this initiative, your external engagement(s), or any other matter. Please email both of us at janet.rossbach@baruch.cuny.edu and fburke@baruch.cuny.edu. The deadline is Saturday, May 1.
Thank you very much!
