Summer 2023 Scholarships for Baruch students

Dear Colleagues,

The following comes from our bookstore, Akademos. This is about getting scholarships for Baruch students by ordering books for the summer as soon as possible!:

For Summer 2023, Akademos will be awarding each CUNY college textbook scholarships for their students if the following criteria are met:

• Baruch’s coursematerialadoptionrate is at or above80% completion by 4/21/23 [Baruch achieved 72% for the current semester.]
• These adoptions must be complete, and cannot be marked as “no books required” unless they truly will not have course materials required in the course.

This Spring, several CUNY colleges (e.g., Hunter, John Jay, Medgar Evers, and Macaulay) were awarded additional scholarships to help their students purchase materials for their classes.

Collecting course material adoptions early helps our Supply Chain & Logistics team successfully source physical and print versions of texts prior to the start of the term. In addition, the textbook section in the Higher Education Opportunities Act (HEOA) stipulates that students should have access to information regarding course materials by the time of registration.
