Zoom security changes starting September 27
September 28, 2020
From: Mike Richichi, Assistant Vice President of Information Technology and Deputy CIO
Please note that as of Sunday, September 27, Zoom is requiring all meetings to have a passcode or a waiting room enabled. (The announcement is available at https://blogs.baruch.cuny.edu/bctc/2020/09/25/zoom-meeting-changes/.)
Also please note that per the CUNY Zoom Security Protocol (https://www.cuny.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/page-assets/about/administration/offices/cis/it-resources-for-remote-work-teaching/Zoom-Security-Protocol.pdf), CUNY requires all meetings to use a passcode, and strongly recommends the use of the waiting room as well.
Instructions on how to use passcodes may be found at: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360033559832-Meeting-and-webinar-passcodes
Instructions on how to set up waiting rooms: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115000332726-Waiting-Room.…
