Mindful Monday Reset

Monday, March 7, 2022 12–12:30 pm

These are challenging times for everyone. A global pandemic. Hybrid classes. Return to the office and the great resignation. Not to mention all of the obligations you have to juggle under increasing uncertainty. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and exhausted by it all, we get it. To deny what you’re experiencing and to pretend it’s not happening is only a recipe for anxiety and burn out. Join us for a 30-minute weekly Monday lunchtime reset to slow down, get present, and be intentional in a safe space and in community with your peers as we mindfully set the tone to move through the week.

Hosted by Baruch’s Office of Health & Wellness, Zicklin Graduate Career Management Center and the DEI Incubator.

March Leadership Conversation

Monday, March 7, 5:00 pm

We’d like to invite you to join our upcoming March Leadership Conversation on Monday, March 7, at 5:00 pm!

Since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, millions have been suffering from crisis-level mental health challenges. In New York alone, nearly one in 25 people live with “serious mental illness,” according to the Mayor’s Office of Community Mental Health. Black, Latinx, and Asian American/Pacific Islanders, who are less likely to receive care, have been particularly affected. Nonprofit workplaces and the lives of their employees and constituents have been particularly vulnerable.

Please join your Fellow alums, mentors and faculty for a virtual conversation to learn more about this crisis and exchange strategies on how our nonprofit community can best address the increasing stresses among our fellow New Yorkers. We’ll discuss why nonprofit leaders must prioritize the mental health needs of their constituents, staff and communities contextualized in the current environment.

Our guest speaker will be Michael A. Lindsey, Executive Director, McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research. Other guest facilitators are currently TBA.
